P+S Recruitment are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting for a Draughts Person to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, permanent basis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create accurate and detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models using AutoCAD and Inventor software.
  • Assist in the complete design solution from the initial sales enquiry, producing technical drawings which meet the customer requirements and result in the quote drawings being turned into full production drawings for manufacture, site assembly and on-site operation.
  • Collaborate with the Design Team and Projects team to understand the project requirements and specifications ensuring clear communication is maintained.
  • Accountable for the raising of Bills of Materials and all related documentation to enable the accurate manufacturing of designed products.
  • Assist in the research and identification of component purchasing and build and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers, solving technical issues with them should they arise.
  • Responsible for the raising of part numbers in accordance with procedures, and the maintenance of accurate and accessible technical information of all components.
  • Ensure that technical specifications required for product manufacture are maintained and regularly reviewed.
  • Ensure that Industry Standard publications related to product manufacture are met, maintained, and regularly reviewed.
  • Fulfil all job responsibilities in accordance with organisational procedures.

Person Specification:

  • 2-3 years recent experience of using AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and on project teams.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office.
  • A pro-active approach to role tasks.

Working Hours & Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week
  • Flexible start time between 08:00-09:00 and finish between 16:00-17:00
  • Overtime subject to project requirements – paid at enhanced rate where applicable.
  • Holiday entitlement 33 days per year (8 statutory, 3 taken for Christmas shut down).
