P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Ships Agent to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full time, permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
Build effective working relationships with Clients, ensuring that they always receive the highest quality of service delivery and support.
Action operational requests from Vessels/Vessel Owners/Vessel Charterer.
Sourcing/Procurement of equipment and supplies.
Inputting, retrieving and reporting of data using computerised systems, ensuring accuracy and appropriate presentation style.
Maintain up to date knowledge of Risk Assessments/Method Statements and undertake review of same ensuring compliance with legislation/company rules.
Work closely with companies Safety Advisors during any incident investigation or safety initiative to effect timeous and positive results.
Driving duties which may include the company minibuses or flatbed trucks, to safely transport ships personnel/belongings and equipment.
Person Specification:
Customer focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
The ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.
Solutions based with strong planning, organising and numeric skills, and an excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work stand-alone, demonstrating initiative and ownership, while a positive contributor to the wider team.
Motivated to achieve the highest standards of performance and customer support, maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Flexibility to facilitate an on-call weekend rota
Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite. MS AX would be advantageous.
