P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking QHSE Manager to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, permanent basis.

Role Summary:

You will take the ownership of supporting and maintaining the organisation’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management systems across the Great Yarmouth site and project activities and client services globally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support the ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
  • Provide competent health and safety advice in line with legislation and relevant standards.
  • Promote a high-performing HSE culture through communications, campaigns and management coaching.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections and follow-up actions.
  • Ensure HSE inductions, training and toolbox talks are completed.
  • Promote HSE reporting, near-miss reporting and safety initiatives.
  • Conduct risk assessments, method statement reviews and incident/accident investigations.
  • Monitor QHSE compliance through inspections, audits and performance reporting.
  • Track and report QHSE KPIs and performance indicators.
  • Support client audits and QHSE reporting requirements.
  • Support job safety analysis, emergency response planning and international safety planning.
  • Oversee contractor and vendor QHSE performance and prequalification.
  • Maintain, monitor and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Coordinate internal audits, NCR investigations, corrective actions and management reviews.
  • Support external audits and accreditation surveillance visits.
  • Promote quality awareness and best practice across the business.
  • Support supplier audits where required.
  • Coordinate environmental reporting and support the organisation’s environmental and ESG activities.
  • Keep up to date with QHSE legislation, regulatory changes and best practice.
  • Support the business with additional ISO accreditations and other relevant standards.
  • Act as a positive role model for QHSE behaviours and take responsibility for personal and workplace safety.

Person Specification

  • 6–9 years’ relevant QHSE/HSE experience.
  • NEBOSH qualification/certification.
  • Internal Auditor qualification/certification.
  • Working knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Working knowledge of QHSE legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to build effective relationships with employees, management and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
  • Ability to work effectively across national and international locations.
  • Proactive, organised and detail-oriented approach.
  • Confident in providing QHSE advice and challenging non-compliant or unsafe practices.
