P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting a Customer Service Coordinator to join their team based in Stowmarket on a full time, permanent basis.

Role Summary:

Our client is looking for someone with bags of energy, ambition, and ideally some experience of a hire-based business. The successful candidate will be hiring steel buildings and dealing with construction sites, so they will need to have a practical mind.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with hire enquiries from both new and existing customers.
  • Processing customer orders.
  • Processing and dealing with all waste tank emptying and x hires.
  • Maintain professional standards of behaviour towards customers and other staff.
  • Assisting the Senior Hire Controller with all hire related paperwork from internal and external drivers and maintaining all hire fleet records.
  • Communicate with the hire workshop team to establish daily workflow, and customer requirements.
  • May be required to take the out of hours phone home on occasions to cover colleagues.
  • Assist Senior Hire Controller with monthly stock takes.
  • Liaise with cabin manufacturer regarding ordering and delivery of new hire units.
  • May be required to assist with transport department administration on occasions.
  • Producing Purchase Orders for the hire workshop teams.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Communicating effectively with customers by email & telephone.
  • Deliver excellent standards of customer service at all times.

  • Influence / persuasiveness but not pushy.
  • Excellent personal organisation and administration.
  • Tenacity and resilience.
  • IT Skills, Word, Excel.
  • Problem solving capabilities.
  • Excellent telephone manner.

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
