P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting a Development Test Engineer to join their team based in Norwich on a full time, permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans to fully test companies current and future well bore inspection tools during the development process.
- Build prototype hardware and systems for development projects.
- System and board level testing to support development project objectives.
- Firmware, hardware, software level testing.
- Build test jig and fixtures for board and system level testing, based on design engineer requirements.
- Produce, build and test manuals/documents for new designs, working closely with design and production teams to ensure effective documentation.
- Ensuring high quality and effectiveness in development testing.
- Work closely with development team, QA team and Management to improve current processes and define new processes where appropriate.
- Report test progress regularly to Project Leads Engineers and Project Managers.
- Report all system issues identified in a clear and concise manner to the development team.
- Work with the development team to replicate issues and characterise behaviours to enable reliable testing of any solutions implemented.
- Working with company development teams to continually define, improve and develop methods and processes.
- Carrying out best practice engineering methods.
- Ensure compliance with company’s HSE policy and actively promote safety within the work environment.

Robust Electronics and Technical Proficiency:
