Job description

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor / Fitter to join their team based in Lowestoft on a full time, permanent basis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Fitting.
  • Ensure the adequate maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment and installations, liaising with the Health and Safety Officer, and participating in regular health and safety reviews.
  • Maintain a register of all plant and electrical compliance tests.
  • Identify key plant including utilities and organize preventive maintenance schedules to maintain performance.
  • Upgrade, develop, or rebuild machine tools as requested by the General Manager.
  • Maintain and repair buildings as necessary.
  • Maintain the necessary stock of spare parts/components.
  • Participate in production as required.
  • Seek competitive quotations and place orders for subcontract maintenance work.

Person Specification:

  • Experience with machine tools, CNC, Lathes, mills and grinders.
  • Experience with hands on work, fixing stuff.
  • Mechanical and electrical background.

Working Hours:

  • 07:30 – 16:30 Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 13:00 Friday.
  • Flexible working hours available.
