Job description

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Assistant to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, temporary basis.

Role Summary:

Responsible for assisting the manufacturing team in all areas of good manufacturing practice.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work efficiently and effectively to schedules of work in weekly manufacturing plans and labour standards through organisation of the department.
  • Assist delivery of continuous improvement through process development and self-development.
  • Assist and ensure manufacturing/cleaning regimes are achieved on a timely basis, whilst maintaining satisfactory quality and Health & Safety standards.
  • Endeavour to keep self-occupied at all times remaining flexible within department and site.
  • Be trained and qualified and ensure all procedures associated with GMP, hygiene, manufacturing/packaging processes, operation of equipment and cleaning of equipment and areas.
  • Ensure Manufacturing Department maintains agreed standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Ensure entries into logbooks and Cleaning Records are correct and to GMP standards.
  • Ensure documents are read as and when required.
  • Ensure Production Department follows GMP at all times and identifies improvements.
  • Ensure self and Department are trained and qualified in all Health & Safety procedures, report accidents and take part in investigations.
  • Identify potential hazards for the site and report.
  • Ensure relevant COSHH data sheets are fully understood.
  • Prevent loss of time and maintain good timekeeping.
  • Avoid production of waste and identify and prevent where possible.
  • Identify cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure the Production Department observes Lean principles.

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 16:30 and Friday – 08:00 – 15:30
