P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking s Trainee Cable Moulding Technician to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
Wiring, termination and moulding of cables and connectors to a very high standard in a fast-paced environment.
Interpretation of wiring diagrams to complete tasks with excellent attention to detail.
Correct use of electrical test equipment.
Preparation of materials and parts used in cable manufacturing following company procedures.
Inspection of cables and report generation following company procedures.
Continue to build and expand knowledge of cable and connector types and processes.
Consistently demonstrate the ability to observe and promote safe working practices.
To carry out other duties as required.
Person Specification:
Previous soldering experience is preferable.
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams is preferable.
Prepared to observe safe working practices - using chemicals (COSHH).
Demonstrate suitable skills or experience for the role.
The candidate will hold A Levels (or equivalent) in Maths, Science, and Technology and have the ambition to learn and develop in a trainee role.
The applicant will need to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and be able to confidently make objective decisions. Technical interest in engineering principles, techniques, and practices is key.
The applicant will need to demonstrate a confident “can do” attitude in a fast-paced environment and must be a team player. The applicant will need to be an excellent communicator and offer exceptional attention to detail.
