P+S Recruitment are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, or part time, permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
Legal Cashiering Duties
Processing client and office account transactions in accordance with industry accounting regulations.
Posting receipts, payments, transfers, and bill transactions accurately.
Carrying out daily bank reconciliations.
Managing electronic banking and online payments.
Monitoring client balances and assisting with residual balance reviews.
Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting procedures.
Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
Accounts Assistant Duties
Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments.
Assisting with credit control and chasing outstanding invoices.
Maintaining accurate accounting records and filing systems.
Supporting payroll administration where required.
Assisting with VAT returns and financial reporting.
Handling petty cash and expense claims.
Supporting the wider finance team with administrative tasks.
Person Specification:
Previous experience in a legal cashiering or accounts assistant role preferred.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
