We would like to say a huge well done to Eileen Middleton who has completed a parashoot jump in memory of her husband Merv who sadly passed away after being diagnosed with 2 grade 4, aggressive, invasive and inoperable Gioblastoma brain tumours.
Eileen started fundraising for Palliative Care East and Brain Tumour Research when Merv was first diagnosed. The first donations started coming in when Eileen and Merv renewed their wedding vows on their Silver Anniversary in April!
So far, Eileen has managed to successfully raise close to £9000 and donations are still being received!!!
Eileen is keen for these donations to be put to good use locally and is helping to raise funds for Dr AjithKumar, Merv's oncologist so that he can work on a project together with Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge. He also needs the equipment in order to do this research.
All who knows Eileen is very proud of what she has achieved so far in Merv's memory!! Well done Eileen!
