P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Technical Assistant to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full time, permanent basis.

This role will be to support our team with CAD/Solidworks experience and qualifications. Along with the ability to perform administrative tasks including filing, printing and management of allocated drawings and company paperwork, setting up and operation of company machinery, creation, and implementation of company processes.

To deliver success in this role as a Technical Assistant, you should have high-level Solidworks/CAD experience, high level administrative skills, technical training, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment. The correct candidate would provide valuable and reliable support both in the office and on our shopfloor.
Responsibilities:
• Create Solidworks / CAD drawings (TurboCAD / AutoCAD)
• Create Technical documentation, encompassing all aspects of the creation and management of the company’s portfolio of products.
• Printing and control of all technical documentation
• Providing technical assistance with equipment operation
• Providing hands on operation of technical machinery. Logging key information provided by these, analysis of the data provided and the creation and presentation of this data via relevant methods.
• Composing emails
• Answering telephones and taking messages

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
• Relevant technical certificates in CAD
• Excellent proficiency with Solidworks / AutoCAD / TurboCAD / MS Office Suite / SAGE
• Strong Mathematical ability (A Level Minimum)
• Excellent communication skills (Qualification in English Language Required - GCSE)
• Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team essential
• Ability to read and interpret technical data
• Good time management skills
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to work to a very high level of accuracy and detail.
