P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Credit Control & Finance Assistant to join their team based in Lowestoft on a full time permanent basis. This position will be to use the company ERP system to collect and accurately record financial information and also be responsible for the coordination of the Company credit control process.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• To have an extensive knowledge of the company, its aims, objectives and its strategic direction
• Recording receipts and payments
• Processing Sales Invoices and Purchase Invoices
• Answers questions and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and suppliers as required
• Credit Control and processing sales remittances
• Credit Account application process for new customer accounts
• To record office expenditure and manage costs, petty cash
• Collating and processing expenses claims
• Bank reconciliations
• Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
• Assist the financial Controller in creating financial reports as required
• Adhere to the company's or organisation's financial policies and procedures

Skills and Attributes:
• An AAT Accounting Qualification would be preferable
• Able to demonstrate Bookkeeping experience
• Commercial awareness, with an understanding in business and how an organisation works and manages resources
• A high level of numeracy
• Ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way and to prepare clear, informative reports for management
• Diligent and meticulous
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other commonly used office packages
• Strong IT and typing skills
• The ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
• Good teamworking skills and the ability to manage your own workload
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
• A problem-solving approach to work with the ability to use own initiative
• Experience and knowledge of financial control procedures
