P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting a Commercial Manger to join their team on a full-time permanent basis based in Eye, Suffolk.

The Commercial Manager will enhance the Company’s commercial, legal, and contractual skills and will utilise these to ensure that all aspects of the resolution of commercial, and/or legal case disputes or issues are managed and the Company’s contractual commitments are clearly understood and proactively managed.

Responsibilities:
• To ensure that business opportunities are reviewed carefully to identify commercial, legal, contractual, and technical terms that need to be addressed and managed as an integral part of the sales process to mitigate risks to the Company.
• To communicate with the Sales and Finance teams, and where necessary Distributors and Purchasers, to ensure that proposals are completed in line with the bid requirements.
• To identify the risks, liabilities, and commitments of contractual agreements, ensuring these are clearly understood and that the Company fully appreciates any potential impact.
• To keep under review, update, and manage the execution of the Company distribution agreements, memorandums of
• understanding, letters of intent, and sales and purchasing general terms and conditions.
• To lead the process of reviewing, drafting, and the revision of contracts to ensure any commercial issues are identified, resolved, and eliminated.
• To manage, co-ordinate, and support all aspects of the resolution of commercial and/or legal project case disputes or issues.
• To contribute to the negotiation of contracts, including commercial and financial management, to ensure the successful delivery of projects can be achieved once they are won.
• To assess commercial and/or financial risks of contractual terms and conditions, and to make recommendations on risk management based on appropriate analysis.
• To manage all aspects of any insurance claim that the Company becomes involved in.
• The management of the proposal process, working with the Sales team to maximise the closure of targeted orders.
• To ensure the management of successful orders is undertaken with the support of the Projects and Finance teams for successful delivery of projects.

Person Specification:
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
• The ability to approach issues in an energetic, open, and inclusive manner.
• Good administrative skills and very high attention to detail.
• The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• Computer proficient skills including MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft TEAMS.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven work experience gained within a commercial or senior project management role.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• An in-depth understanding of the role of a Commercial Manager.
• Degree or diploma in business administration, management, accountancy, or project management, or equivalent work experience gained within a business environment.
• A second language would be an advantage.
• The ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude always.
• A strong work ethic with the ability to mentor and influence the behaviour of others.
