P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team based in Bristol on a full time, permanent basis.

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for client relationship management. You will also lead the development of the business development strategy and all business development activities within the geotechnical business unit. Your targets will be to optimize revenue, encourage business growth, and strengthen our market position.

Your main responsibilities will include identifying and establishing business growth opportunities, ensuring the company profile within the market remains relevant, up to date and compelling. You will be leveraging business opportunities by ensuring client requirements and feedback are understood and illustrated within our offers. You will need to be able to identify competitive advantages by monitoring competitor activities, capabilities, and performance, and you will be sharing relevant market intelligence within the wider business development community in the Group and internal stakeholders within the business unit.

The ideal candidate will have business development experience, together with some knowledge of geotechnical site investigation techniques, as well as either project management or commercial experience in a client facing role, preferably within the marine survey or contracting industry.

We are looking for a focussed and dynamic team-spirited individual with well-developed communication, presentation, and organisational skills. You will need a good level of IT literacy and be advanced in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The nature of this role will mean that you will occasionally be required to respond to requests outside of standard business hours, both UK and global travel will also be occasionally required to attend conferences, exhibitions and client facing meetings. The role is challenging, but also rewarding, and an excellent opportunity for somebody who wants to step up and play their part in advancing the energy transition.
