P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Project Surveyor to join their team based in Norwich on a full time, permanent basis.

Role Summary:

The role of the project surveyor is to support the whole project life cycle form bid/tender stage through to project execution. The project surveyor will be responsible for technical advice during tenders as well as offering high level technical support during mobilisation, operations and demobilisation. The Project Surveyor will support the Project Managers with clients meeting preparation, technical dispute resolution and daily technical operational queries from the field. The Project Surveyor will always have Quality, Health, Safety and Environment at the forefront of their mind, both from a behavioural as well as procedural perspective.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing technical specifications during tender and operational activity.
  • Support commercial team with technical support for tenders when required.
  • Offering technical support to asset manager in selecting suitable survey equipment.
  • Where necessary support P&L team in selecting correct personnel for specific requirements.
  • Offering expert advice and clarity on project specifications and scopes of works.
  • Act as the technical authority and support the PM during any technical disputes with clients or equipment suppliers.
  • Review DPR/Minutes from meetings offering any insight into technical issues or queries.
  • Review technical spreadsheet.
  • Attend regular technical meetings to offer input and support.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in an offshore role will be beneficial.
  • Degree or relevant experience in a survey-based discipline.
  • Working closely with Tender Teams and Project Managers/Operational teams.
  • Working with blue-chip, high-profile clients.
  • Working in a multi-cultural organisation.

Person Specification:

  • Strong technical background with good commercial acumen.
  • Ability to put views across concisely yet strongly.
  • Ability to travel freely.
  • Good eye for detail.
