Description :
Our client is seeking to recruit to the role of Business Development Manager to manage and deliver the volume budget within specific accounts/channels in order to deliver the area’s budgeted sales, through applicable support and implementation of commercial initiatives and via well-developed relationships at all levels within customers and business.
Scope of job
- Reporting to an Area Manager work effectively as a member of the team and contribute to the development of its priorities and plans.
- Accountable for account/channel area business target and its delivery in the business plan.
- Regular meetings/liaison with manager, other BDM’s and commercial team members to share strategy, priorities, results and best practice.
- You will be liaising with supermarkets in order to get the products onto the shelves, no negotiations of rates/prices will be required however you must be able to analyse statistics and figures in order to make strategic business presentations to the management teams.
- Regular liaison with store management including stock control and Senior Regional Managers.
- Maximise company's visibility and availability while operating within agreed customer listings, planograms and policies.
- Utilise applicable BD Executive support to maximise return on all activities undertaken.
- Regular communication with commercial team members to ensure full understanding of and give feedback on customer and company initiatives.
- Required to work flexibly to support needs of the business.
- Operating within statutory and company Health and Safety guidelines.
- Can authorise SOR within Company guidelines.
- Manage and support agreed sampling activity.
- Support agreed PR activity.
Hours of work
This is a 37.5 hour, 5 day per week role with occasional Saturday or Sunday working required (if worked a day off in the week is provided).
Experience
FMCG experience is desirable, previous experience of people management is a requirement.
