Materials Control? This organisation is highly innovative and at the forefront
of latest technology with a global presence. We are currently seeking a
Materials Expeditor and Senior Expeditor to join their team based in Seething,
near Norwich, Norfolk.

Job Purpose:

Expeditors work with internal customers,
processes and procedures, and external suppliers to ensure that products and
services are delivered to the company in line with business needs and expectations.
The role is multi-disciplined and involves interaction with many areas and
aspects of the business. 


Raise and issue purchase orders against strategic
procurement framework agreements, and similarly for low value non-repetitive
non-strategic items and services from an approved supplier base as guided;

Manage a portfolio of expediting duties, to include:

o    Ensure that
materials and services are managed to achieve on-time delivery, by reviewing
open orders and due dates, liaising & negotiating deliveries with
suppliers, & coordinating with other departments to ensure end user needs
are met;

o    Expedite any
shortages in response to backorders or non-forecasted issues;

o    Liaise with
all appropriate staff and suppliers and update internal business systems

o    Manage stock
levels in line with company targets & guidelines

o    Manage internal
and external stakeholders;

Produce Materials process non-conformance reports (“NCRs”) if and where required,
and follow corrective actions through to completion;

Prepare weekly progress reports / management
information as guided;

Manage the product certification process and this to include

Support the “Goods In / Goods Out” process as and if

Support the Procurement & Materials management team
in other business activities as required and guided from time to time.

Ability to demonstrate a track record of
achievement in Materials & Supply;

Good negotiating and influencing skills;

Ability to manage and prioritise a high volumes of
work under pressure;

Self-confident, personable, respectful, a ‘can do’ attitude and
approach to work, and an ability to build relationships with stakeholders at
all levels internally and externally;

Outstanding communication skills with complete fluency in English
both, written and spoken and, the ability to articulate both orally and on

A structured approach to their work and the ability to innovate;

An entrepreneurial flair and enthusiasm for business improvement;

A team player with ideally work
experience in a dynamic multi-national business which has excellent client
service at the heart of its delivery ethos;

Takes appropriate responsibility whilst
understanding when to call for help;

100% mobility during the working week including occasional
international travel as may be required;

Good IT literacy on standard office applications;

Passionate about meeting commitments

and Experience:

good academic background with GCSEs minimum

Additionally, at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, A-Levels, a
university education, membership of a relevant Chartered Institute, and Sageline 200, MRP & CRM familiarity
could all be advantageous.
