Personnel Services are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, a
manufacturing organisation, who are currently seeking a Production Technician
(Grade 1) to join their team based in Lowestoft, Suffolk.

role is a hands-on role including installation, commissioning, assembly, test,
inspection and troubleshooting of aids to navigation components and systems.
The ideal candidate must have an electrical installation accreditation and be
prepared to go on site for clients potentially at short notice. The main off
site work is in the UK, but there may be occasions to go abroad, so they will
need a passport and clean driving licence and be able to drive a van.


Assembly, test and inspection of electrical/mechanical
components; solar power, battery and telemetry systems.

Travel to customer’s sites to install and
commission electrical/mechanical components; solar power, battery &
telemetry systems and buoy deployment.

product and system diagnostic testing and troubleshooting.

Repair defective

Provide technical
customer support.

Assist in identifying
potential product/system improvements.

Carrying out
preventative maintenance.

Packing and shipping of
finished components.

Using computer to
generate documentation and reports.

Wearing appropriate
safety clothes in designated safety areas

Compliance with all
company HSE procedures, laws and regulations.

Maintain effective
working relationships within the team.

Maintain clean, tidy
and safe work place.

Advise Supervisor of
production changes as required.

Ensure company policies
and procedures are adhered to at all times to ensure the security and
confidentiality of company information.

Perform any other duties as reasonably

Position Requirements:

3 years’ relevant industry experience in
installation, commissioning, assembly, test, inspection and troubleshooting of
electrical/mechanical components and systems.

NVQ in electrical installation.

Preferred industry experience in solar powered
systems and or marine navigational aids.

Ability to read engineering mechanical and
electrical drawings.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
with minimum Supervision.

Computer literate in MS excel, word &
