you will do
As a Hydraulic Technician you will be working on
Hydraulic Power Control Units (HPU’s), Well Head Control Panels (WHCP’s), Top
Side Termination Units (TUTU’s), Hydraulic Pressure Accumulation Racks, and
Interface/work-over panels. Intervention Workover Control Systems (IWOCS),
Chemical Injection (CI) packages. Fire Suppression & Deluge Control units.
you will do it
Day to day you will be involved in the
identification and installation of hydraulic components, reading and
understanding P&ID schematic drawings, General Assembly drawings, Parts
Lists and Test Procedures
Flushing of Hydraulic systems and cleanliness
sampling to ensure compliance with prescribed cleanliness levels.
Testing and Calibration of Instruments including
Pressure Relief Valves, Pressure Yield Valves, Pressure & Level
Transmitters, Pressure Switches, Pressure Sensing Pilot Valves, Pressure Gauges
and inspection and repair (including modifications to equipment) for use in the
workshop manufacture and testing.

compression fittings & Hoke Twin Ferrule systems training with
or Butech systems training with certification.
• ECITB Technical competence
certificate of achievement in Installing and Assembling Small Bore Tubing (SBT)
Assemblies – Code TSBT01.
• ECITB Technical competence
certificate of achievement in Disassembling and Reinstalling SBT Systems – Code
• Basic Offshore Safety
Induction & Emergency Training Course (with CA EBS) (5750) Includes HUET,
approved by OPITO.
• Offshore Oil & Gas
Industrial Minimum Safety Training Standard (MIST), approved by OPITO (5301).
• Fault finding within
hydraulic systems to allow for modifications to existing well head control
• Able to travel away from
home for on-site installations and commissioning of new equipment within the
oil and gas industry both onshore and offshore.
