P+S Personnel are looking for a HR Admin Officer to join an ambitious
organisation with big plans for the future and massive opportunities ahead.
Based in Great Yarmouth

Purpose of the
Role

·        
To provide first line HR support and
administration to managers and staff within a framework of policy, procedure
and legislation as required.

·        
Promote the values and principals of
the Council in the delivery of the HR service

To understand the Corporate Plan
priorities and values and contribute to the delivery of these in the provision
of high quality services to customers

Operational
Responsibilities

·        
To be the first point of contact for
all first level HR queries  from managers and staff

·        
To support all aspects of HR
administration activity/administration including recruitment and selection,
sickness absence, discipline, grievance, restructuring/change management, job
evaluation, maternity and data protection and provide management information on
these activities as required

·        
To support the Payroll and Management
Information Officer in the delivery of payroll and management information
functions as well as being the back up for the Payroll Officer and to run payroll
at least twice per annum

·        
To be responsible for covering the
coordination and response to all Freedom of Information enquiries which come
into HR in the absence of the Payroll and Management Information Officer

·        
To produce and administer staff
contracts and contractual changes

·        
To ensure the maintenance of a tracker
of all contracts and contractual changes to ensure that signed documents are
returned in a timely manner

·        
Maintaining HR guidance notes and
procedural checklists

·        
Coordinate the maintenance of the HR
web pages to ensure that information is easily accessible, accurate and up to
date

·        
Maintaining HR data (e.g.
establishment, staff turnover, sickness absence and performance monitoring
etc.) and producing reports as required

·        
Attend meetings and take minutes as
required

·        
Supporting the HR Advisors in collating
and preparing files for HR meetings including formal attendance procedures,
disciplinary and grievance meetings and performance packs

·        
Lead on the promotion and
administration of employee schemes such as eye care vouchers,  the cycle
to work scheme and Reward Gateway

·        
To support the Head of OD and HR
Manager on all aspects of HR related activity

·        
Undertake such other duties as may be
appropriate to the post as directed by the HR Manager/Head of Organisational
Development.
